Service of process is the procedure employed to give legal notice to a person (such as a defendant) of a court or administrative body's exercise of its jurisdiction over that person so as to enable that person to respond to the proceeding before the court, body or other tribunal. Usually, notice is furnished by delivering a set of court documents (called "process") to the person to be served.(click for more information) What is the cost? The cost for serving an individual depends on the location served and what type of time frame is requested. I.E. -Rush Service is $40.00 plus the Routine Service. This is done within 48 hours. Also how many defendants and locations. We offer volume discounts. Who serves the defendants? Our Process Servers are all Registered, Bonded, and Licensed. They serve the defendants. We also have a network of Process Servers that can serve out of State and other counties. How many attempts are made to serve an individual? Our company will make up to three attempts to serve the documents. How long will it take to serve papers? The process to serve documents depends on the circumstances. A normal service will take 5-7 days, if the individual is evading service it can take longer. |
